Prochem System Educational Workshops:

• Hands-on Spot Cleaning Workshop 
  Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at MMS Training Classroom,   8 AM  - Noon  
  

• Hands-on Protector Workshop
  Wednesday, November 19, 2008  at MMS Training Classroom,  1 PM  - 4 PM 

Prochem System hands-on workshops are half-day sessions that allow cleaning technicians to learn the proper techniques of spot & stain removal, and  upholstery cleaning.  Each student has the opportunity for hand-on experience. Although these workshops cannot provide IICRC certification, they are excellent preparation for, or follow up to an IICRC course. As such, they do earn IICRC continuing education credit (CEC).

Prochem Systems Workshops are presented by Sherman Guffy the education manager for Prochem. Sherman has been in the carpet and fabric care business since 1980. His industry certifications include IICRC Master Textile Cleaner, Master Water Restorer, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, and Wools of New Zealand wool care specialist. In addition Sherman sits on the board of directors for the CCINW and the IICRC.
Sherman achieved IICRC approved instructor status in 1994 and teaches IICRC certification courses in carpet cleaning, commercial carpet maintenance, upholstery and fabric cleaning, carpet repair & reinstallation, water damage restoration, odor control and co-instructs a senior carpet inspector course as well as other specialty courses.
Sherman has authored and published several manuals and computer based training modules for our industry.
Sherman owned and operated a specialty carpet and fabric care business in Portland Oregon which he sold in 2007 to join the Prochem team.
